The first weekend in May has become our tradition for Yoga in the Vineyard. Sometimes it’s warm, or very warm, sometimes it’s cool or just right. This spring weekend it was cold. Yet our merry group of folks adapted to nature and enjoyed yoga under the Grandmother Oak looking out into the vineyard. Once again yogi Susan Merritt guided our poses. And for the first time Karen Jaffe surrounded us with Sound Baths from her crystal bowls, often playing in harmony with the wind moving through the Oak tree. Many thanks to the beautiful photography of Shelly Errington, fellow yogi. Thanks to all who shared in this weekend journey.
Grandmother Oak awaited our arrival for yoga and contemplation nourishment and connection. We hiked. We relaxed. We shared joy. Susan guided our poses. Karen filled us with inner calm
.Brendan created many meals. Steve led us on nature forays and in the vineyard. And we all participated. Mothers and daughters. New friends. Taking time to be and breathe. In the cold we huddled indoors. Time to draw with new friends. New forms of Downward Dog were developed. And Grandmother Oak will wait again for next time.
