Folks came from near and far to join in Condor’s Hope community olive harvest which took place, as is our tradition, on Veteran’s Day Weekend. The olives were ready with different shades of green, yellow, purple and black to be hand harvested and then churned into our rich, organic olive oil. Please feel the joy in the photos below. The olives were bountiful
and ready to harvest.
Families and friends gathered over Veteran’s Day Weekend..
First we stretched.
and then we harvested.
Into belly buckets
and raked onto tarps.
With much joy
and energy.
Everyone helped.
Veteran harvesters
naturalists,
and new harvesters too.
We all participated.
As we gathered around the trees,
we all reached for olives.
and some climbed high.

One by one they added up.
Bins were filled.
and transferred
to larger bins.
Food was aplenty
and good cheer
was had by all.
From campfires and
music
under the stars.
We enjoyed special guests as well!
And then the bins went to the olive mill.
Where they were rinsed
and crushed
and spun into extraordinary oil
for all of us to savor.
