We returned to our annual Memorial Weekend Work Party after skipping a year due to the Pandemic. We gathered with joy as we worked, played, celebrated and ate together. Teams gave the vineyard a spring cleaning with disbudding grapevines, desuckering olive trees and weeding. What a difference many hands make! We took on other projects as well including building rock landscape planters, building decoy fences for ground squirrels and rabbits and more. We celebrated birthdays (Angela’s and Casey’s) and the wedding of Jack and Sarah. Much of the celebration was around wonderful food and the extraordinary gluten free desserts prepared by baker Paula. Paula’s layer cake served as both a birthday and wedding cake! Thanks to all of you who put your spring energy into the vineyard. We thank you and hope you will be able to join us for the harvest of the fruits of your labor.
