The transition from spring to summer is celebrated by our annual Memorial Day Weekend Work Party. The vineyard puts forth so much growth in spring and there are many projects to be done that get added to the list. This weekend gathering brings folks together to help manage the vineyard and work on projects as we prepare the vines and trees for the summer to come. This group brought so much good energy as first-timers joined those who come again and again. We were especially grateful to have a group from UCSB’s agroecology program. We desuckered and disbudded the vines; removed weeds; enjoyed food and created community together. We want to share our great appreciation to all of you that joined us. Many hands made light work and fun for all.
